2020 Cadillac CT5 Digital Nerve System Enables Over-the-Air Updates for Optimal Connectivity

The new 2020 Cadillac CT5 made some big waves when it debuted at the New York International Auto Show back in April. One of the most revolutionary features of this high-end sedan is its new Digital Nerve System technology, which is poised to change not only the way you drive your Cadillac but the auto industry as a whole.

The new Digital Nerve System platform will allow for over-the-air software updates to equipped vehicles, ushering in a new standard of connectivity, autonomous vehicle technology, and cybersecurity. Over-the-air updates function similarly to smartphone updates. The Digital Nerve System will allow for automatic updates to address things like engine malfunction and to optimize performance and fuel economy based on real-time driving information.

The new platform will handle up to 4.5 terabytes of data per hour, which is about the equivalent of 500 movies’ worth of data. This data will include things like sensory information, real-time traffic, and road condition reports, which will enable the Digital Nerve System to automatically optimize your driving experience.

All of this comes in addition to the plethora of other reasons to be excited about the new 2020 CT5, including its powerful twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine, premium interior, and its stunning exterior.

The 2020 CT5 arrives at Schwan Cadillac in Fall 2019.
