Get ready for even more electric off-road excitement from GMC. Not long after introducing the Hummer EV supertruck, the brand revealed a second battery-powered model: the Hummer EV SUV, expected to arrive at dealerships in 2023.
Pure Electric Power
The Hummer EV SUV will be available in four trims: EV 2, EV 2X, EV 3X, and Edition 1. EV 2 and EV 2X models will get up to 625 horsepower and 7,400 lb-ft of torque from a two-motor system. EV 3X and Edition 1 will carry three motors, put out up to 830 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque, and boast a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds. Both powertrain setups should provide an estimated driving range of about 250 miles per charge.
Advanced Capabilities and Features
The Hummer EV SUV will boast superior all-terrain capabilities. Available technologies will include CrabWalk for moving sideways across rugged ground, Extract Mode for raising the suspension, and UltraVision underbody cameras for easier off-roading. The vehicle will also come with removable roof panels, a rear-mounted spare tire, and Super Cruise hands-free driving tech.
The top-of-the-line Edition 1 is expected to arrive first in early 2023, followed by the rest of the Hummer EV SUV lineup. We can’t wait to welcome this mighty new model here at Schwan Buick GMC in Mandan, North Dakota.
